God is the creator ... We are the creation and cannot make our lives fit our expectations.
God has control over the world ... We control ourselves.
God is the judge of life ... We are to experience life.
God designed life and its rules ... We obey the rules and live the life that God designed.

GOD IS THE JUDGE OF LIFE WE ARE TO LIVE IT, WOW THAT CAN BE A TOUGH ONE BECAUSE WE START TO BELEIVE ON SOME LEVEL THAT ONLY "I" HAVE BEEN THROUGH, WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH, YET THE REALITY IS NOTHING COULD BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH, WE DO NOT WALK ALONE, WE HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANYTHING THAT OUR FATHER IS NOT AWARE OF. NOTHING HAS GONE UNSEEN BY OUR FATHER, THE GOOD THE BAD AND EVEN THE NOT SO PRETTY...REMEMBER THIS TRUTH IN ALL THAT WE DO SISTERS AND WE WILL BE AHEAD OF THE GAME, THE GAME CALLED LIFE....LUV YA...KATHERINE
These quotes are very true. Sometimes we try hard to be independent and do things are own way and what God wants is to depend totally on Him. He wants us to grow in him and through him.
Nice to hear from you gals. I hit by the comparison of God as creator and my often bratty attempts to make my life as happy as I want it to be. Trying to control what other people say, do, or feel through being demanding or appeasing. In contrast, the peace that comes when I trust the Lord to design a life that satisfies me. Oh, for the grace to see beyond my own expectations, to see how he is able to do beyond what I ask or think.
Years ago, I found a stained glass window in a small frame with the words "God always give the best to those who leave the choice to Him." I have kept that handy to ruminate upon on a regular basis and have always found it to be true.
Sometimes I get frusterated because I want to be like my friends who are completely healthy, have a husband with 2.3 kids, a house, a dog, beautiful clothes, a great job, money, etc... but that's not who I am right now.
At this moment, God wants me right where He has me and even though it might not be want I want all the time, it's right where God wants me at this time.
Right now, I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to spend more time with God because I don't have those others things that I cherish.
