The Energizer 2007

We're off to the Energizer! Tamara, Lourdes, Liz and I will be in lovely Covina overnight. Check back Saturday for stories about how the Lord equipped and energized us.

Blessings!

So much gets packed into such a short time at the Energizer. We journalled in our handouts, wrote on the walls, and prayed to the Lord for help with it all. Each service had a moment of sharing with our friends about what the Lord was saying to us.

The speaker was an experienced vinedresser who works with her husband in their family vineyard. We learned in very visual ways about pruning, trimming, sorting ... how the Lord makes us more fruitful through his watchfulness and active character development.

We had fun! We laughed; we sang; we even did a "holy slide". (Not really dancing, because we weren't that good!) Most of all, God's presence was close to us. Glad we went!

K,hope this is what I'm supposed to do as I have never actually "Blogged" before??? What is "Blog" anyway? The Energizer was awesome! God's presence was felt and the Holy Spirit was speaking to our hearts. The Praise N Worship Team was fantastic, very energetic and they even whipped a little metal...(yes, I'm a closet rocker).

Our speaker, Cynthia was very articulate and used visual aids to show us just how articulate God is about His work in us. I learned much about vinedressing and my relationship with God.

Not to mention...fun! Great company and good girl talk1

Yeah, Pam what does "Blog" actually mean???
Tamara, sounds like you had an awesome time; I love to be in the presence of God.

I'm confused Tamara: what does this mean: they even whipped a little metal...(yes, I'm a closet rocker)...
ooo I think I just got it!!! I thought at first it was an old school term "closet rocker..." haha LOL

Tamara - I am so happy to hear that you are a closet rocker (well, not anymore!). So am I! I'm always doing air-guitar when no one is looking or grabbing a hairbrush or cooking utensil and singing like a rockstar! So glad to hear that I am not alone. Can't do the headbanging thing anymore, though - I'm worried about getting a concussion:>)

Sorry, I was never a closet rocker, maybe a closet singer when I was younger, I used to use the curling iron as a microphone, hey, I learned that from my sister. oops, sorry Tina

Singing and worshiping the Lord with all the other women was wonderful. You know God was there and He has to be smiling.
The music was incredible, the people who performed the music were sooo upbeat, wow. It was contagious.
I loved all the visuals Cynthia used to make the bible come alive and give a clear picture of what the vine story in the bible means...ditto to Pams description about the vinedresser.

I'm writing annonymously, but I will say both my sisters were at the Energizer. We had a wonderful time in the Lord. We met up for dinner at Johnny Carino's and drove across the street to BJ Brewery for coffee and dessert. Yum. We went back to Covina 1st for the PM service and it too was awesome. I look forward to this event every year.
