A quiverful of life

Fine Arts Festival, Assemblies of God Youth Department, Newport Mesa Christian Center. If you had been there today, you would have seen some wonderfully committed, brilliantly alive students. They did things their way. They sang, played, acted, signed ... displayed artistic expressions of many kinds. Devin played his heart out - Joshua fit the battle of Jericho - an incredible jazz version that had people snapping in time to the beat.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127:3-5

Choose this Mother's Day to celebrate children. Yours or your girlfriend's. Hug some kid as soon as you can! Tell us about it ...

I hugged Devin, thanking him for bringing us to Fine Arts Festival. I also sent him a text about what I think about him. (All good, I promise!)

I hugged Alex, just after he climbed a rock wall at Balboa Pier. I also got and gave a high five for braving the tall wall!

I do my best to give my lovable hugs to my nieces or nephews, and to my little "buddies" at church.

I also realize that they seem to
feel more connected when I give them a nickname.

I can tell that someone is praying for my "wake up earlier" time. Lately even if I go to bed late, I keep waking up at 7:15 a.m. Hopefully I will sleep in, tomorrow. Anyway it's 6 pm in Thailand so it's dinner time for me. Too bad I already ate. Okay I am starting to feel like I am getting back to my normal self. SO thanks for all your prayers and especially I thank God for his love, grace, help and strength. Love ya all
