pastor terry says ... the Roman Centurion had seen many crucifixions, but none like this one. Jesus on the cross was so different from any other crucifixion that he had before. Something in Jesus caused the Centurion to say, "Truly, this was the Son of God."
What do you think the Centurion saw or experienced that made him recognize Jesus as the Son of God? Or, what have YOU seen or experienced that makes YOU recognize Jesus as the Son of God?

I think He saw his unconditional love.
I saw Him holding me on His lap, hugging me tenderly, lovingly. One Sunday, not too long ago, I felt the presence of His love as the choir sang. His arms were around me as we swayed to the hymns.
I have seen peace in the most difficult of circumstances. Maybe the Centurion saw peace in the face of a man dying and recognized that only the Son of God could be so completely at peace during a time when most men would be terrified.
Jesus said, "into your hands I commit my spirit." Jesus knew that His Father would take care of Him, even though He was at the point of death.
YOU KNOW I REMEMBER A SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS THAT 'HE' WILL REVEIL HIMSELF TO THOSE THAT LOVE HIM,PERHAPS NOT ONLY DID THE CENTURION 'KNOW' HIM, BUT GOD HIMSELF 'KNEW' THE THE CENTURION,WOW MAKES YOU REALLY CONSIDER THE AWESOMENESS OF OUR GODS LOVE....LOVE YA GALS...KATHEINE
I think he saw love and compassion coming from Jesus when he was used to seeing maybe anger and self pitty from other's previously cruxified. The compassion and love he showed the thief. The tenderness when he gave his mother to John...
