Tanya Mae Kirkendall
Tanya (parents didn't know what to name me for three days. Decided on Donna Mae after my mom. Took me home. Said didn't look like a Donna. Saw suntan lotion named Tanya. That's where I got my name.)

Mae -my mom's middle name. Kirkendall-from my parents which means "church in the valley"

does Teensy count?
(it started with Virginia Thornburg calling me Teeny, Tiny, Tanya and then it ended up as "Teensy" by the late Jon

Cassie (after my Grandma, who hated that my Mom gave me her name)

Rae (after my Dad, Ray)

Graham (maiden name)

Levy (husband's name)

When we married, Maurice asked me if I was going to use his name, given the anti-semitism in the world. I told him I was honored to have a Jewish name.

Elizabeth Laguna Scribner Cloud
Laguna my maiden name
Scribner from my first husband

Kathterine, I have been a Kirkendall 100% of my life.

Tanya -(in Hebrew) means "friend" and Mae -(in Hebrew) means "sympathetic". I hope I live up to my name.

Yet, in Russian, Tanya means "Queen of the fairies." It figures, even my name means queen of something tiny. LOL

Tamara Laguna Acosta-Tamara is Russian and is a dirivative of Tamar. Laguna is my maiden name. My 7th grade counselor used to say "Laguna" "I hear you have a sandy bottom" ha ha as in Laguna Beach! I love Acosta...put me to top of the Alpha!!

Hey.....Don't forget me - I'm way down here.

Deborah Noel Yohn Hodson

Deborah (because my Mom liked it)
Noel (my Mom got it from the 'engaged to be married' section of the newspaper)

Yohn (like yawn - I come from a very long line of boring, sleepy people)

Hodson (from my dear husband, Rob)

I have been known to say, "Yohn-Hodson, Yohn-Hodson, I come from Wisconsin.":>0

Deb, you're anything, but boring. Meaning I am never, ever bored when I am near you. You are an awesome, fun loving, animated, Yohn-Hodson. I am so glad you came into my life when you did.

I always scroll to the bottom ... don't want to miss a thing!

By the way, I once had the nickname "Pampers" when I was the resident advisor for college freshman. I still have a t-shirt with that name across the back. Those crazy kids!

Dr. Pam: I really think you might end up regretting telling us about your name "Pampers." Personally, I can't wait to see you on Sunday!:0

You really do trust your congregation & I, for one, appreciate that!

and what about me...hmmm..who can I tell that Pam's nickname was pampers. Oh, by the way, I think when you say that kind of nickname, you may want to explain it. ha ha ha

Here are just a few nicknames that don't need to be explained:
Teenie-Tiny-Tanya. Triple T. Teensy. Tinkerbell. Tiny. Short- stuff. Little One... Small Fry...and now I have a new one from Deb's mom. Corrinne kept calling me "stink pot," it actually sounds endearing when she says it, yet I don't know what it means.

Even on the old cartoon called "The Littles," there was a girl named Tanya on there and also there is a tiny mouse named Tanya on the American Tail (Fivel's sister). How Funny???

Pam...in Junior High the first day of class we had to intruduce our selfs with a sentence and said something we like with the first letter of our name so when it was my turn I couldn't think anything that started with L and I said Hi, my name is Lidia and I like lollypops all thru my Junior High years and High School years I was call LOLLYPOP. Lidia

"Pampers" very funny but cute! Better than "huggies" or "Luv's". I won't say my nick name only because it would take to long to explain the origin. My sister Liz was the culprit and some of my relatives still call me this today.
